Wacana Pengawasan Media Digital Oleh KPI, Pembatasan Berujung Pengebirian

Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) is set to supervise programs and contents on broadcasting platforms such as YouTube and Netflix. The new regulation aimed to ensure digital content that is accessible by public, adhering to digital decency.

The idea was opposed by many, contending that KPI was not a censorship institution, and that this may leads to arbitrary actions.

Is KPI, in regards to this matter, examined thoroughly the juridical, sociological and psychological aspect, to avoid disparity of information to the public? Does this action constitute as a violation of people's right?
